Council heard from one delegation – Mr. Garry Barber from Wainwright Assessment Group Ltd.
February Financial report was accepted as information, Flagstaff Intermunicipal Partnership Revised Terms of Reference was approved, first reading from Bylaw 1178/12 being the Animal Control Bylaw was provided first reading (it will be posted on website for feedback until April 19th Regular Council Meeting). Council awarded the 2012 Roadway Improvements which includes overlay of 47 Street from 48 to 51 Avenue as per the three year Strategic Plan (this project is funded through Alberta Transportation Street Improvement Program Grants funds from 2009, 2010, 2011 and 2012 as these funds may only be used for overlays or complete rebuilds of roads and amounts to $45,660 for each year) 47 Street was determine as requiring an overlay in 2009 and grant funds have been built up in order to do a proper job of the road as it was one road which does not currently require any underground utility repairs/replacement. Council discussed many other roadway projects which need to be included in the longer term plan and discussed conducting a thorough review of priorities for the next three years.
